We were delighted to see that Safari Lodge in the Amakhala Game Reserve was recently mentioned, alongside places such as Botswana and Namibia, in Africa Geographic's article 'Top 5 Places to see Elephants in Africa'.
Amakhala Game Reserve has had the pleasure of having a thriving herd of elephants and they are regularly reported to be the highlight of many guests' game drives. They are incredible animals to watch, especially their interactions as a family. The reserve has also been incredibly blessed with some exciting newborn elephant arrivals, the most recent being only a month or two ago!

Safari Lodge's main area is built around a watering hole which Norman (pictured above) frequently uses as a drinking spot. With almost daily visits to the lodge it's not an irregular experience to be watching Norman wander on over for a drink during a late morning breakfast after a game drive on the reserve.

We could not be more thrilled to have our reserve recognised by Africa Geographic, and we are extremely proud of Safari Lodge for being mentioned as the place to stay for doing so!
